Paper Abstract:      The increasing incorporation of artificial intelligence (AI) in our daily lives through various AI-enabled products and services has considerably changed the way our society functions. Therefore, public participation in discussions on AI development, use, and regulation, especially with AI becoming increasingly accessible to the public, is critical. However, few studies have focused on public attitudes toward participation in such discussions. This study focuses on understanding public attitudes toward participation in discussions and exploring factors influencing their intention. The results revealed that respondents tend to support public participation but are less willing to participate themselves. This trend was particularly evident among people 60 years and older.
