WedescribethecurrentstateofdevelopmentofanenvironmentfortheautomaticgenerationofspecificcircuitsinFPGAforSIMDapplicationsfromhighlevelspecifications.Themethodologyusedisbasedonthetransfor-mationofthewholealgorithminagraphofLUTs(LookUpTables),withouttheuseoflibrarycomponents,thatimplementsalltherequiredoperations.Thequalityoftheobtainedcircuitryisguaranteedbytheuseoftypeinference,atechniquethatisfocusofcurrentresearchonthedesignhighlevelcircuitgenerators,whichiscontextdependent.Twosortofimplementationsoftheiterativeexpressionsarepossiblewiththesetools:withorwithoutacompleteunrolling.Asafirstcasestudy,wehavetestedtheefficiencyofthisenvironmentintheimplementationofanintegerdiscretewavelettransform(DWT). |
