Paper Abstract:

By means of a qualitative approach we analyze the processes of adoption of mobile telephony within a sample of senior individuals living in the metropolitan area of Barcelona (Catalonia, Spain). First results of an ongoing research allow us to discuss the position mobile devices occupy within their personal system of communication channels and to indentify different ways of appropriation and use. |
