Paper Abstract:      In the context of higher education institutions, there is a growing interest in integrating disable people in their courses and degrees. Virtual Learning Environments are a key issue in this context and making them accessible is becoming more and more significant. The current work describes the efforts promoted by the Universidad Politécnica de Valencia in making the Poliformat platform accessible to a wider community. These efforts have been managed within an approach developed in the framework of the EU4ALL project which provides an open architecture to integrate accessibility services. This approach is being evaluated during the period 2010-11
