Paper Abstract:
|
Background: Traditional methods of managing educational materials are repetitive and often lack scalability. Integrating DevOps principles into educational content creation would provide a more streamlined approach to delivery.
Objective: This solution proposal report shares initial experiences and introduces the concept of Lecture as Code (LaC), which applies DevOps practices such as version control, automation, modularity, and scalability to educational content management.
Methods: Using tools like Markdown, Kubernetes, and AI-driven technologies such as Large Language Models and AI frameworks like Langchain and Chainlit, LaC automates content creation, delivery, and chatbot integration for interactive student support.
Results: Evaluation across computer science courses showed increased student engagement, reduced teaching time, and consistent content quality. Automated Item Generation (AIG) and chatbot support led to higher weekly participation and lowered dropout rates to below 13%. |
