Paper Abstract:      The development of modern technologies and the integration of AI into all aspects of life pose challenges for participants in the educational process. On the one hand, using chatbots and generative AI tools provides learners with unlimited opportunities to quickly and easily access a large amount of information and receive help with various homework assignments, making it difficult for teachers to assess their work. The article presents an experiment designed to motivate students and support teachers during training. The research was conducted during the education of bachelor students in the professional field of Informatics and Computer Sciences. The propositions presented in this report raise several questions and outline possible future research directions. An experiment is conducted with students in the second and third semesters of the Software Engineering bachelor's program. The goal is to integrate ChatGPT in the context of problem-based learning while mastering the fundamentals of programming languages such as C++, Java, and web programming. The idea is to train learners' critical thinking skills with systematically generated materials from ChatGPT, in dialogue with students, enriching them with additional knowledge and various resources. This study examines the potential of artificial intelligence technology, such as ChatGPT, to enhance core teaching materials through problem-based learning. Learners are encouraged to develop critical thinking on assigned tasks, and their progress is monitored by analyzing data collected during the learning process. This paper aims to demonstrate that generative AI technologies, such as ChatGPT, have the potential to enrich learning resources, adapt materials to individual learners' needs, and provide flexibility for both students and educators in the digital age. The main challenges associated with traditional teaching include the lecturer's limited time to present the learning material, a shortage of reference resources, and low student motivation. Integrating ChatGPT into a problem-solving learning model is hypothesized to personalize learning content, improve critical thinking, provide feedback, and increase learner motivation.
