Paper Abstract:
|
After the post-pandemic era, the cashless transaction in Indonesia even soared to the peak, this could be seen from the increasing number of QRIS users through merchants like Bank ABC's ABC Merchant. There is a large gap between registered merchants and active merchants in Kudus, implying a low sustained usage among the MSMEs. This study focuses on factors affecting continuance intention (CI) to utilize the ABC Merchant in the era of financial inclusion and digital transformation. Employing a modified UTAUT2 model (replacing CI for behavioral intention), the research examined the effects of performance expectancy, effort expectancy, social influence, and perceived trust on CI with personal innovativeness as a moderator. Guided by the concepts of technology adoption model and MSME-QRIS, this study adopted a quantitative approach via questionnaire survey among ABC Merchant users in Kudus. The relationships and moderation effects were examined via SmartPLS by PLS-SEM. Results showed that personal innovativeness, social influence and perceived trust are the strongest determinants of CI while neither performance expectancy nor effort expectancy did have a significant effect. Personal innovativeness did not moderate the association. This three-pronged consideration entered the predictive model. Digital literacy and system security within ABC Bank require enhancements to fill the gap of user engagement. MSMEs are urged to exploit the utility of the app to enhance the efficiency of their business operations. Future studies are recommended to broaden the sampling frame and to utilize mixed methods to strengthen the generalizability of UTAUT2 for fintech. |
