Paper Abstract:      Electronic cash is one of the most important applications of modern cryptology. One of the requirements of electronic coins is anonymity; that is, the privacy of the clients needs to be protected. The blind signature technique is used to protect an individual’s privacy; however, it is quite different from a regular digital signature scheme. It has two additional properties namely blindness, which means that the signer of the blind signature does not see the content of the message, and unlinkability, which means that no one can derive a link between a protocol view and a valid blind signature except the signature requester. This paper presents a new blind signature scheme based on ECC signatures. ECC signatures are one of the most important tools for providing authenticity and security. They also have advantages in comparison with RSA based blind signatures as well as other asymmetric algorithms, such as using shorter keys while offering the same level of security. This new scheme also has a valuable property of assuring if a message is signed multiple times the corresponding signatures will be different. This adds to the anonymity of the blinded signatures.
