Paper Abstract:      Mobile Learning (mLearning) is emerging as an important educational strategy with strong implications in the field of education. In order to set the path to measure its effectiveness, in this work we describe the methodology used to design a mLearning resource for Physics courses at the Tecnológico de Monterrey, Campus Ciudad de México. We discuss aspects about the graphic design, the instructional design and the resource implementation process. We also designed and applied a Pre-Test/ Post-Test assessment tool to a sample of N = 97 students, that allowed us to measure the degree of fulfillment of the academic goals implicit in the mLearning resource. Preliminary results so far for this particular resource, show only mild differences between the student group that used the learning resource (the focus group) as compared to the student group that did not used the learning resource (the control group). These results lead us towards a reflection upon how to improve the methodology followed in the design as well as the implementation process for this mLearning resource.
