Paper Abstract:      The number of Wi-Fi networks and Wi-Fi users increases every day. Unfortunately, when using different Wi-Fi networks, risks can vary because there are no reliable means to select the most trustworthy hotspot. In order to address this shortcoming, there has been an increase of the websites offering an assessment of the Wi-Fi networks available in a given location. We have analyzed some of these websites and we have reached the conclusion that only a few users take the time to rate those networks. In this paper, we propose using implicit hotspot QoS (Quality of Service) information in order to rate the hotspots which have not been rated by the users. We also propose using this implicit QoS information to check whether the user tries to cheat when evaluating a given hotspot.
