Paper Abstract:      Lleida University (UdL, Spain) offers Sakai to its community for e-learning instruction. Moreover, Business English at the UdL relies on e-learning activities for students to have more communication and interaction practice. This paper analyzes the tools and functionalities of the UdL Virtual Learning Environment from a Computer-Supported Collaborative Learning (CSCL) perspective. It is argued that Team Memory, Team Communication and Team Workplace tools allow the design of effective CSCL instruction for Business English, unlike tools dealing with Team Awareness, Team Portfolio.
