Paper Abstract:      In the Web Service (WS) testing, diverse aspects can be considered. One of these aspects, addressed by some works in the literature, is the generation of test data from the WDSL document. However, most works do not consider faults that can be present in the WDSL documents. To do this, in this paper, we introduce strategies to apply the approach ADIA (Alternative Data Instance Analysis) to WS testing. The approach was proposed to test data schema through queries generated considering classes of faults commonly found in different kind of schemas. A strategy for using ADIA is introduced, allowing test of the WSDL, which can be considered the WS schema. In addition to this, the fault classes are used to generate modified SOAP messages to test the WS, and to generate test data to the client application that uses the service. Experimental evaluation shows the strategies ability to reveal faults.
