Paper Abstract:      Geovisualization is an approach to visualize non-geographic data. It will not only provide a new way of information and knowledge search to private users, but also support business processes in order to increase transparency and efficiency of the knowledge workers decision making. Research design of this thesis constitutes a combined investigation following design science and behavioral science paradigma: implementing a prototype and analyzing user behavior. Therefore, a validation model was derived from well known IS success models considering utility as dependent variable, user acceptance as upstream construct and influence factors like social environment, voluntariness, job relevance, output quality, result demonstrability and user competencies.
