Paper Abstract:
|
In this paper we propose an architecture that uses a BitTorrent protocol for hard disk image dissemination amongst a network, adapting it to the constraints of a GNU/Linux live distribution environment without temporary storage for the hard disk image file. The performance of this architecture is tested against two alternatives: Simple HTTP and BitTorrent (with temporary storage for the image file). Results show that the proposed architecture is much more efficient that HTTP for more than two simultaneous clients. |
