Paper Abstract:
|
Evaluating the user experience with a product or service involves the analysis of aspects such as pragmatic and hedonic qualities and attractiveness, among others. Since these qualities are inherent in good experiences, we investigate the applicability of AttrakDiff as a tool to evaluate the user experience in a ubiquitous/pervasive scenario. A case study was carried out using the original AttrakDiff artifacts, in the online English version, with the participation of five volunteers who made use of a wearable device: smart band sony SWR10. In this article, we discuss the results obtained through the evaluation in the above scenario, to understand to what extent AttrakDiff can capture relevant aspects of UX in ubiquitous, pervasive, and related computing scenarios. Based on the case study results, we present lessons learned and suggestions that can be helpful in assessing the user experience in ubiquitous and pervasive technology scenarios. |
