Paper Abstract:      In this paper, we focus on virtual campuses, i.e. virtual worlds representing real educational institutions that use the metaphor of a university and provide users with a range of different tools for learning. We propose a methodology for systematic analysis of such campuses, performing a study of a Second Life campus representing the College of Education (COE) at the University of Hawaii at Manoa. Using this methodology, we analyze design choices, educational tools available at the campus and their suitability in relation to educational activities and goals, outlining directions for future development.
