Paper Abstract:
|
Many applications require storing XML data into relational databases (RDB). In such cases, in addition to map the schema and data, it becomes necessary to translate the XML queries to SQL format, the standard language used in RDB. To perform this translation, this article proposes QMap, a component that translates XQuery queries to equivalent SQL statements. This component is part of a framework that stores, manage and query heterogeneous XML data in RDB. |
