Paper Abstract:      So that inexpert students become good programmers they should acquire a series of abilities. This involves a difficult process. Experience has demonstrated that the biggest difficulties reside in the low capacity of the students to use programming languages, in particular, to write programs that solve problems in an effective way. The use of tools using visual representations helps to understand the programs as dynamic entities. Also, the consideration of the learning process, in this case the programs design, as a social task can contribute to improve the effectiveness of the learning. In this work we present a proposal to use the collaborative infrastructure of a system developed to support design learning and visual tools for Programming learning. From this proposal we outline a prototype which will be used to carry out learning activities with real learners of Coimbra University in Portugal and Castilla-La Mancha University in Spain.
