Paper Abstract:      This paper describes a preliminary evaluation of the Internet-based generative learning objects organiser system designed and developed to support learning. The system enables the students to organise their learning in the form of a concept map that links the key concepts to various learning objects. Using the system, the users can contribute their selfdesigned learning objects to the learning object repository. An evaluation involved the elucidation of students’ attitudes toward the system using an open-ended questionnaire. The results of the preliminary study indicated that students moderately favour the interface design of the system and the ease of use of the tools embedded within the system. They also perceived that the system provides flexibility in the design of the learning objects – such flexibility when combined with the activity tools embedded within the system, is able to support their learning.
