Paper Abstract:      This article constitutes an attempt to prove the thesis that a condition for the effective management of employees’ attention is the proper communication and the adequate flow of information at different levels of the organizational structure of an enterprise. The studies were conducted in 120 small enterprises operating in the provinces of Podlasie and Warmia-Masuria. The research results indicate a significant discrepancy between different levels of the organizational structure of an enterprise and an inconsistency between what in the opinion of employees is important, what they actually do during their working hours, and for what they are assessed. The dysfunction was diagnosed at all stages, i.e. of constructing a strategy, of conveying it to employees, and of motivating workers to its implementation. It means a reduction in the strategy’s effectiveness and necessity for significant changes in accordance with the postulates of presented here attention management theory.
