Paper Abstract:      This paper is a report on the effect of the computer application on science achievement of the junior high school students in Taiwan. The questionnaire for the frequency and purposes of the computer application and the science examination questions for the science achievement were analyzed with the data results of the TIMSS. The Trend of International Mathematic and Science Study 2003. The science achievement of the 8 grade students of junior high school were compared with the computer application frequency of the purposes for searching science information, doing homework and data analysis. The results showed that the students with the lower frequency of computer applications had higher science achievement. The reasons should be studied in advance.
