Paper Abstract:      The main purpose of this study was to implement a mobile investigation system for outdoor survey and activity. So as to provide a collaborative constructing environment, the system will follow web 2.0 concept and Wiki mechanism. In addition to a general construction environment for digital illustrated handbook of plant, this system will offer locationbased service which employs Google Maps as server of GIS by means of API. In other words, the system users can construct geography attributes of one plant and querying the related plant by means of location-based information. In order to offer friendly and multiple interfaces, this study adopts Ajax technology to design the system. In addition, the system will provide adaptive content for different digital potable equipment like PDA or laptop PC. As a whole, the system can be used for mobile investigation or mobile learning.
