Paper Abstract:      This study investigates the computer perceptions of students at home, at school and at internet cafe, and the computer applications they preferred. For this purpose, the frequency of computer usage, the applications the students performed while using computer, the applications they wanted to perform were investigated and the difference among them were tried to be presented. The study was carried out on the students of the 6th, 7th and 8th grades of 6 primary schools in Erzurum, 2 of which were private schools. The schools were chosen from environments having different social status, and the students, to whom questionnaires were applied, were chosen from among the classes of these schools at random. The findings were evaluated by means of SPSS 11.5 statistics package program, and besides Chi-square and Student’s t test, % values were also determined. The result of the study showed a significant difference between the computer using frequencies and applications at home, at school and internet cafe.
