Paper Abstract:
|
We describe our experience with a successful fax/sms e-Service that has been functioning in the Spanish marketplace for
more than three years. Our internet based service forms a bridge between traditional telephone communications and the
Internet. We briefly describe the technical aspects of the platform and our experience with development, deployment and
maintenance. We argue that the success of our business model for this web service platform is ideal for a small internet
business due to two principle factors: cumulative growth is attainable with constant fixed costs, and due to the specifics
of our service, there is natural mechanism that guarantees a low customer attrition rate. |
