Paper Abstract:      Computer ethics deals with the ethical and social consequences of the development and wide use of Information and Communications Technology (ICT) in modern society, and it constitutes a subject, about which a big number of articles was published during the last decade. Professional and accrediting bodies have proposed the inclusion of computer ethics issues in the academic Information Studies Curricula. In this paper, we present a web-based learning environment, which aims at the active participation of students in the process of computer ethics didactics. Goal of our application is the creation of a working environment, where students are asked to analyze ethical dilemma scenarios arising from the implementation of ICT, and propose the best course of action. For the analysis of the scenarios, students may choose and apply heuristic methods of analysis, which have been proposed in articles, professional codes of ethics or ethical theories.
