Paper Abstract:      In this paper, we propose a gesture-based remote controller that interacts with home electronic appliances based on a accelerometer and IR communication. We designed the remote controller called SwingRemoCon that offers instinctive methods to choose and control the consumer electronics. In experiments, we implemented the SwingRemoCon prototype and evaluated the accuracy of gesture recognition.
