Paper Abstract:      We describe and discuss different approaches for the graphical data composition in a general framework for visual querying and analyzing scientific data. Researchers from zooarchaeological domains dependent on analyzing massive amounts of data on objects found in excavations. Our framework is designed to support them by offering a way to assemble custom queries without prior knowledge of programming. The results are graphical representations that can be used for their analyses, without having to export any data and use extern analysis tools or spreadsheet applications. We describe the necessary requirements and discuss the approaches. The evaluation of a user study contributes towards the development of a prototype of the framework.
