Paper Abstract:      Often new software development adopts existing software instead of beginning from scratch. In this situation, it is necessary to evaluate and select appropriate software from many similar candidates, where appropriate means that users’ requirements are correctly realized. Herein a method is proposed to select existing software that meets users’ requirements. Concretely, use cases and scenarios, which represent user behaviors that realize requirements, are prepared. Then users operate existing software while the operation histories are recorded. These histories are used to calculate the correspondences between scenarios and existing software, allowing users to evaluate software candidates by themselves.
