Paper Abstract:      This investigation includes an analysis of opportunities and benefits from introducing mobile learning to regular classes in secondary school. The various dimensions of mobility relevant at school are elicited and the interplay between different dimensions of mobility as well as limitations imposed by technical, social and didactical aspects is discussed within the setting of secondary school education. The results of this analysis will help to identify factors and limitations which are important for introducing mobile learning in secondary schools and will be used and further scrutinized in the ensuing evaluation introducing mobile learning to a German comprehensive school. The guiding questions are: 1. Which dimensions of mobility are present in class? 2. How do they interplay? 3. How do both students and teachers accept mobile learning scenarios as a supplement of present classes?
