Paper Abstract:
|
Motivated by the planarity of helices in the secondary structure of RNA, we propose a novel way to represent helices in
terms of a binary tree, and introduce a method for classifying them. We apply the proposed representation to the 16S
ribosomal RNA (rRNA) and demonstrate its usefulness in the context of unraveling hierarchical patterns among helices. |
