Paper Abstract:      In this study, results predictions on Japan’s national elections are made by analyzing data obtained through social listening. The amount of information sent by end users has become enormous as expressed as “information explosion”, and social media is a representative source of such information. Social listening on national elections after the internet campaign became available in 2013 was conducted in this study, and a new finding in results predictions that could replace a conventional prediction method, especially in the proportional representation system, was made.
