Paper Abstract:
|
Social media have been widely used as a means of collecting information. However, countless posts exist on social
media, and some contain false information, often causing confusion. Although it is important for users to verify the
authenticity of posts on their own, such judgement is difficult for inexperienced. Although inexperienced individuals
need clues to challenge themselves in discerning the authenticity of posts in order to accumulate meaningful experience,
acquiring such clues is difficult. In this research, we have been aiming at developing methods to generate clues for
verifying the authenticity of social media posts based on the analysis of others' reactions. This paper mainly describes
methods for extracting noteworthy posts that require the verification of authenticity and for extracting useful others'
reactions that contain descriptions expressing reasons or evidence. Finally, this paper describes an experiment using
prototype and its results have suggested the basic effectiveness of our methods. |
