Paper Abstract:
|
In this work, we present a software tool that can extract data from
semi-structured information sources, maintain the temporal consistency of the extracted data and monitoring the web in accordance with the user requirements. It makes heavy use of the structure present in hypertext and the concept of wrapper. The tool uses different approaches to maintain temporal coherency of data gathered from web sources. We also describe how the tool can be used to personalize the information provided to users about products or data that they may need in order to make a decision. |
