Paper Abstract:      The heterogeneity of current terminals and networks has involved the need to adapt the data during exchanges, mainly in multi-user distributed applications, like collaborative applications. Moreover, it is essential to adapt the data in a global way, i.e. by taking into account the whole set of parameters related to users and to data transmissions. Global Adaptation is an innovative approach extending context-aware adaptation. In order to realize it, we implement a platform, called Appat (Adaptation Proxies PlATform), which is made up of Adaptation Proxies. Its main task is to carry out the adaptation in a global way and transparently to existing applications. We propose in this paper an experimentation based on a videoconference application to show the effectiveness of this approach.
