Paper Abstract:      We present patterns addressing successful solutions for recurrent problems to allow co-authoring in web based education systems. In this context, educator, as co-authors, create, format and make available the interactive content for the system according to students´ profile, language, needs, etc. A case study, described here, reports designers from Computer Science and Engineer using these patterns to design web educational systems prototypes, as well as educators from Mathematics and Pedagogy designing the content creation using these prototypes. This study shows evidence that patterns support designing of co-authoring web educational systems to allow co-authors realize co-authoring option and know how to proceed to create the content according to their expertise.
