Paper Abstract:
|
This work is based on the application of new technologies at university teaching, especially on the development of new learning objects, the knowledge pills. Last years, the University of Vigo has developed a few educational projects oriented to involve teachers and students on the intensive use of new learning technologies as in grade as in postgraduate disciplines. Many format of multimedia contents were tested at the University of Vigo: live video recording and audio recording, live videoconferencing, telepresence, that is everything was technologically available. But after a few years of use, it has been found that the most demanded by students and less rejected by teachers is the short-time mixed source learning content, called knowledge pill or learning pill. The pill was carried out at University of Vigo, with the aim of applying it in order to improve the student learning and facilitate the subject integration at European Higher Education Area. Finally, the usefulness of knowledge pills has been tested, and numeric results of the implementation have been obtained. |
