Paper Abstract:      The paper presents a semi-fragile watermarking method for digital image authentication. The method is modular. It consists of a basic part providing robustness against JPEG transformations and an application-specific part implementing an innovative digital watermarking algorithm. The results obtained after testing the functionality of the method indicate excellent host image quality, sufficient data quantity, perfect robustness against JPEG compression, very good robustness against image tampering and very high probability for the identification of malicious modifications of images. The method has been implemented using the Microsoft .NET framework and native ANSI C++.
