Paper Abstract:      Model-based design of multimodal user interfaces differentiates modality-independent and modality-dependent models. Mostly the task model and/or the abstract dialog model are specified without referencing modes. Instead they are refined by modality dependent specification (concrete UI model). However, concerns of modality are relevant within task modeling since multimodal interactions can impact task execution. This paper presents extensions on task model concepts to cope with such interrelations. The extensions focus on temporal dependencies between tasks that, on the one side, are influenced by the use of multimodality, and that, on the other side, are influencing multimodal interactions.
