Paper Abstract:      The formation of study groups has proved to be an efficient method for promotion of cooperative learning among participants. However, the difficulty in defining an adequate time and place for all participants to meet often makes the formation of such groups difficult. In the attempt to solve these problems, learning communities based on mobile computers were created. In this article, we propose a support system for such communities, which is supported by peer-to-peer technology, to minimize the deficient resources of mobile computers. The system is based on the theories of constructivism, and each participant can represents his or her knowledge by using personal knowledge chains. These chains can be exchanged between the community members. The hypothesis is that the apprentice will achieve a reduction in the time dedicated to studying a specific subject, as well as obtain more comprehensive knowledge of the subject studied. The experimental use of the prototype developed showed evidence that the hypothesis can be confirmed.
