Paper Abstract:      The need to customize courses in an academic context is a perpetual pedagogical challenge. To this end we need to take into account the opinions and interests of students about all decision making components within knowledge content, teaching materials and progress conditions of courses. On the Web, there is an important number of communication and knowledge “carriers” that can help students exchange their ideas outside the classroom. This paper focuses on the use of a large set of text mining techniques to gather decision-relevant information from student discourses in a typical social network platform like school forums. We will present a model to define a decision support system for mining data from an academic social network such as ENSIAS students’ forum.
