Paper Abstract:
|
This paper proposes a Reliability Service message logging-based solution for the fault tolerance problem in a service-oriented environments. The solution respects the autonomy of service providers, allowing them to choose freely their own local fault-tolerance policies. The service and client proxies intercept messages and route them to the Recovery Management Unit of Reliability Service, which logs messages in the stable storage. When a service failure is detected, messages are replayed in order to recover last service state visible to the external world |
