Paper Abstract:
|
This paper proposes the design of a cost effective Classroom Response System. The specific objective is to design a system that mimics the pedagogical features of commercial systems, such as interactivity and instant feedback, while utilizing proven and available technology;- SMS on mobile phones in place of proprietary keypads, and standard spreadsheet software in place of proprietary software. It is suggested that the technology choices proposed actually enable a more capable system with pedagogical advantages over the current systems. These pedagogical advantages all relate to enhancing feedback and interaction, thus fostering a more active learning environment. |
