Paper Abstract:      This paper proposes a new distributed architecture for mobile services called JINIUS-Link, based on localization and personalization of mobile users. The JINIUS-Link comprises a PDA device, a web server, service-agents and Jini platforms. The Jini platform is utilized as an intermediary for the location of a user and its agent, which coordinates and retrieves the requested services. Agents are developed to assist users in finding information, storing personal preferences, as well as supporting and informing users even at non-connection periods. The JINIUS-Link allows for immediate updates of information providing fault tolerance, flexibility and efficiency, something which significantly improves the quality of service
