Paper Abstract:      In today's competitive environment, enterprise business has to adapt the changes driven by the market in order to achieve targeted goals. Information systems are used to manage the enterprise business, and thus adaptation at information system level is very important. This raises the need for architectures and mechanisms that support such adaptation at finer granularity levels (like process activity level). Service-oriented computing and aspect-oriented programming approaches promise high adaptability in rule-based information systems. In this paper, authors propose an adaptable ECA (Event- Condition-Action) centric architecture with implementation mechanism, which is based on service-oriented computing and aspect-oriented programming concepts to adapt the changes at intra-activity level for rule-based enterprise information systems.
