Paper Abstract:      In this study, sonification strategies are explored by enabling the creation of audio files that represent the RNA secondary structure. A specific rule-set is employed which ensures that audio files generated for different RNA secondary structures will also yield distinct melodies, based on the underlying sound structural rules. The final goal is to create audio files that are constructed in such a way that a user familiar with RNA secondary structure will be able to easily detect audio nuances corresponding to the different RNA structures, as well as understanding which melodies belong to clusters of related RNA secondary structure.
