Paper Abstract:
|
The paper focuses on an integrated architecture framework that is designed to incorporate information systems dedicated
to the academic environment, comprising dedicated information systems for educational, administrative, research
management software systems and an e-learning platform. The study reveals the design principles and the architecture of
the system, the advantages of implementing a flexible system framework and a proficient system integration solution, as
well as means of maintaining and developing the systems facilities. We present the case study of Babes-Bolyai
University, Cluj-Napoca, Romania, by analyzing the implemented system and highlighting its strong points in pace
development, and first feed-backs consequent to the implementation of the e-learning environment that is integrated into
the described framework. |
