Paper Abstract:

The paper presents the results of studies carried out for developing a Strategy for research, technology development and
education at the Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics of Sofia University. It highlights the e-skills situation in
Bulgaria, the recent trends and challenges for education in the knowledge-based society. The results of two surveys show
the skills needs at FMI, as well as the users appreciation of FMI services and skills of employees. |
