Paper Abstract:      This poster highlights issues of user support for on-line food shopping. A call is made for further examination of the human activity of food shopping and consumption within a given socio-cultural and historical context. An approach to the design of experiential on-line grocery store user interfaces, with a particular focus on product presentation and retrieval, is proposed, based on the translation of the physical shopping activity to the digital medium.
