Paper Abstract:
|
As a consequence of population growth and the subsequent increase in economic and socio-environmental problems, an adequate urban planning becomes necessary for each region. Therefore it is important to identify, gather, store, process, produce and retrieve the relevant information for each region, as they will be used as scientific data for the elaboration of laws and public policies. In order to provide strategic information for the support and elaboration of public policies, there will be a description made of the development of an Indicators Monitoring Informational System. Knowledge Management and Artificial Intelligence techniques are used, especially with ontologies. As a result, the system will be able to monitor indicators for specific areas in real time, improve the knowledge about the region, supply a background for comparative analysis of many kinds of indicators and improve the knowledge management model in public organizations |
