Paper Abstract:      The Telessaude Brasil Redes Program emerged in 2007, from a telemedicine pilot project in support of Brazil’s primary care. Although, a country with continental territory dimensions such as Brazil which faces social, economic and political challenges, with countless inequalities, the program accomplishment would become difficult to implement. Even with all the encountered barriers, this program is a successful tool in Brazil. The objective of this work was to highlight the impacts obtained with the implementation of Telessaúde Brasil Redes Program on the state of Rio Grande do Norte. Researches were made in databases: SciELO, Biblioteca Virtual em Saúde da Atenção Primária à Saúde - BV-APS, Periódicos CAPES, Ministério da Saúde and Núcleo de Telessaúde of the state of Rio Grande do Norte’s Database. An opinion research was also made with the health employees with the purpose of evaluating the impacts of the program in the state of Rio Grande do Norte. Results have shown that the service of teleconsulting provided a reduction on the amount of routing to other assistential levels. City budget were saved. Also, health department professionals were submitted to a permanent education system. Most of the health professionals of Rio Grande do Norte were satisfied with the Telessaúde Brasil Redes Program.
